Stars, style and glamour
For the Vogue Fashion’s Night Out, in other words, THE event of the year, held on 9 September in Milan, the Patrizia Pepe boutique in Via Manzoni 28, made sure it got plenty of limelight. The shop was buzzing like a bona fide advertising set, with anyone dropping in to say hello being invited to pose with items from the Who is Patrizia? campaign then presented with the photo as a keepsake.
But that’s not all, not only did guests to Patrizia Pepe’s take on Vogue Fashion’s Night Out get to make like models in front of the camera, they also got a close-up of some of the top celebrities of the moment.
Former American-Japanese model Kay Rush and currently journalist, radio show host and deejay, picked the music. For her fusion of exotic and noir, Kay chose a sheer tunic-shirtwith Swarovski rhinestones from the a/w Evening Collection, a range of evening-only attire in exquisite fabrics and with beautiful embellishing to add even more glitz.
On the guest list were Italy’s most in-demand girls: the "veline" (showgirls)! Blond Costanza Caracciolo and brunette Federica Nargi, who will be back dancing on the desk for Italy’s satirical news show "Striscia La Notizia" on 20 September, chose two very different styles. Costanza embraced the energy of the A/I Collection, stepping out as the gutsy leading lady, with bags of sex appeal and fighting spirit in a navy-military style jacket with balloon sleeves, slim fit and intentionally open at the front. Federica on the other hand, opted for the strapless, stretch mini dress from the Evening Collection, seizing a bit of on-trend frenzy for flatteringly figure-hugging sheath dresses.
Thais Wiggers and Juliana Moreira, two Brazilian-born showgirls that are as down to earth as they come in the land of showbiz, wowed guests with their infectious good humour. Thais, one of the best-loved "veline" of all time, chose a trendy and very tongue-in-cheek outfit, featuring a boyfriend-type gilet with striped fabric back panel (which has a matching jacket and trousers) which she wore over a white stretch cotton shirt. Juliana, who worked alongside Teo Mammucari this year in Fenomenal, had a lot of fun posing with a friend wearing a dress with statement straps, and some added sparkle from a silver baguette available from our online store.
