Animal Print, Camouflage, Check, Python …. what will these stylists come up with next??? What are they all about and why?
We talked to you a while back about what these “motifs” mean and how they feature in recent Patrizia Pepe collections: Animal Print and Check for example, were core themes for Autumn/Winter 2009, where these all-time, must-have motives were given the Collection’s punk rock treatment.
This season’s Spring/Summer Collection, The Road to Mombasa, marries Africa and the Far East to create a very glamourous take on a bit of escapism, (generally considered to be extremely classic).. but go on admit it, who doesn’t remember the 1960′s iconic ????
In keeping with this theme, the Accessory and Shoes collection features bags, belts, shoes, sandals and boots in ultra-soft calfskin with an exclusive and highly original python print which sits stylishly alongside the clothing colour palette, for sophisticated combinations or with the denim range for a more casual look.
You saw them in the catwalk shots and here they are again on video (did you catch them on Facebook??? … there’s even a back stage opener…) combined with the glammest of looks, or hot-on-the-streets options with Short Leggings and Hot Pants.
And without over-complicating things (although the first two looks are definitely not over-complicated we’re sure you’ll agree), the python print accessories are perfect in a multitude of places, whether it’s nighttime glam or a bit of everyday chic you’re after… Just as a starter they’ve gained must-have status this season already, bloggers have been going wild about them for months… we like to think you’ll be wearing them with washed jeans and plain, no-nonsense t-shirts to let your accessories do the talking… or maybe crank it up a bit with a python-effect, sequin-embellished top or ruffled dress for some real camouflage fashion!
