WHEN HISTORY MATCHES THE FUTURE…
is the source of inspiration for the 2012/13 Autumn Winter Collection, in which time is undefined and the many opportunities technology provides are seen as chances not to be missed, if we succeed in managing them and not let them manage us.
The lines are slim and willowy, true to the philosophy of the range; the layering retains a sense of weightlessness and warmth; the mix of heritage memories and post-modern visions create an intrepid and timeless vibe.
Iconic pieces in the new collection include the sailor wool Pea Coat, the raw-cut or two-colour wool duffel, the technical urban-wear jackets in waxed cotton and gabardine with micro-emerizing, the triple wool cloth technical Field Jacket and double-breasted Shetland wool blazer.
Not to mention… the exquisitely finished and customized jackets in sprayed or garment-dyed flannel, retro-feel wool, wool gabardine or jersey, coupled with technical, destructured weaves in soft, lightweight wools.
The slimfit trousers sit perfectly with the jackets, mirroring the details and highest quality tailoring.
The shirts continue in their mission to mix up fabrics, details and neck sizes, both in the classic and casual versions in garment-washed fabrics, stretch armure cottons or with heritage-feel prints.
The denim wash is as original as ever, with an added mineral dye that is friendlier on the environment.
The cotton, classic dye and innovative armure fabrics share fine tailoring, while complex double-dye effects demonstrate the constant exploration of the fabric-wash world.
The knitwear collection features a wide a range of tricot- knit, garment-dyed items and an equally interesting study of the different fabric weights which are interpreted in double, stripy and colour-mix patterns; structure is the key in the yarn-dyed outerwear, giving definition to duffels, jackets and coats. A must in any collection, the garment-washed leather pieces and accessories, starting from the wide range of shoes, echo the original urban vibe of the range.
Black, navy, grey, a few glimpses of neutral along with reddish purple and green, both on a dark background, are the main colours in the collection.
Patrizia Pepe dresses the chic and self-confident man, giving him a strong sense of optimism in the future.
