Patrizia Pepe presents a new project in which the two qualities of Italian creativity, fashion and design, meet in an extraordinary exhibition featuring ten highly-skilled protagonists: yesterday, students of the Domus Academy; today, interpreters of Italian design.
From the collaboration with the famous post-graduate design academy founded in 1982, comes a unique and innovative exhibition, curated by Dante Donegani, consisting of special installations in the two Patrizia Pepe boutiques in Milan, during the upcoming edition of Salone del Mobile 2013.
Alessandra Baldereschi, Philippe Bestenheider, Francisco Gomez Paz, Defne Koz, Laudani & Romanelli, Giovanni Levanti, Christophe Pillet, Studio Dante Donegani & Giovanni Lauda, Rodrigo Torres and Mario Trimarchi, are the “master designers” who will participate in the event, presenting one or more objects created in collaboration with various prominent Italian design companies.
The seven shop windows of the boutique in Via Brera and the three of the boutique in Via Manzoni – within which a “model” living room will also be set up – will host the work of each designer, depicting the evolution of the domestic scenario and residential spaces, and the transformation of objects and relationships in these spaces, themes dear to the tradition and research of the Domus Academy, in a unique synergy with the garments of the Patrizia Pepe collection.
This creative dialogue between fashion and design, glamour and functionality, unites and combines cult objects of everyday life, whether furnishings and elements for the home or garments and accessories of fascinating metropolitan style.
