In her "Fashion Icons" book, author Leen Demeester explores how fashion has evolved through the centuries, tracing the origins of iconic pieces like the corset, bra, dress, miniskirt, trousers, accessories and high-heeled shoes. As she winds her way through the annals of fashion history, using style icons as her guide, the author dedicates a whole chapter to Patrizia Pepe which has earned its place in the fashion hall of fame, after 20 successful years in the business.
Patrizia Pepe plays host to the Argentinian artist Daniel González – in the Prato factory, Daniel González unites fashion, music and art in an explosive combination. For the project CRIMINAL AESTHETIC FASHION SOUNDSYSTEM the artist has created different environmental sculptures formed from dozens of loudspeakers in various sizes, dressed in fantasy iconography created from sequins and glitter.
The Online Store has yet another new entry: the Patrizia Pepe Spring Summer 2011 Girls’ Collection. The characteristic that will leap out at you is the stylish simpleness, the playful colours that jump from strong to mellow, and the unusual but extremely practical shapes. Have a look for yourself!
