PATRIZIA PEPE ANNOUNCES SINGER DUA LIPA AS THE STAR OF THE AW 17/18 ADVERTISING CAMPAIGN

Patrizia Pepe has chosen Dua Lipa, a rising star in the music world as the exclusive face of the AW  17/18  advertising campaign, shot  by  photographer  and  director Sharif  Hamza.  Patrizia Pepe recognised her status as an idol for millennials and with one of the most powerful voices on the international scene.

The brand is re-affirming their close bond with the world of music by partnering with Dua Lipa. Aged  22,  Dua  Lipa  has  had  remarkable  success  with  her  music globally  including  her  singles “Blow your Mind”, “Be the one”, “New Rules”and her hugely successful self-titled album which has just been released. Dua Lipa has 710 million views on YouTube and1.8 million followers on Instagram. The Times have noted her as “the superstar we’ve all been waiting for”.Patrizia  Pepe  are  celebrating  their25th  anniversary  in  2018, a  huge  mile  stone  for  the  Italian brand,  and  a  time  to  reinforce  the  brand’s  DNA.

Creative  Director  Patrizia  Bambi  has  a  deep passion  for  music,  and  music  has  always  played  a  huge  role  and  source  of  inspiration  when designing the collections.“I’m really excited about this unique, fascinating collaboration,” explains Bambi. “Dua’s spirit is a continuation of her music and vice versa. She has fun with her sound and her rocky vibe –gritty and elegant all at once –and encapsulates the liberated, eclectic personality of the Patrizia Pepe woman.”Produced in New York, the film clip and photographs in the campaign are paired with the song Bang Bang, which Dua Lipa covered exclusively for Patrizia Pepe.The original plot ranges from sexy attitude to veiled irony, where the metropolitan gang led by the  pop  star  is  used  to  symbolise  the  sense of  complicity,  sharing  and  belonging  synonymous with the feminine world.
